There is a special work visa category for foreign expert workers. \u00a0In order for an Israeli company to employ a non-Israeli foreign worker, the company must prove that the foreign worker has a special skill or knowledge that Israeli workers do not have. \u00a0The reasoning behind this is to limit the number of foreign workers in the country so as to leave more jobs for Israelis. \"Israeli<\/span><\/p>\n

Israeli Work Visa for a Foreign Artist<\/b><\/h4>\n

The foreign artist who wishes to obtain a foreign expert visa through a company must be well-known in their field. \u00a0Foreign artists are often issued visas for a shorter period of time, generally a maximum of three months. \u00a0At the same time, a longer visa may be issued, but the Population and Immigration Authority stipulates that the visa for a particular foreign artist should not extend past one year at any given time. \u00a0Generally the time granted in the visa corresponds to the length of time required to perform the project the foreign artist is coming to do in Israel. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What to Include<\/b><\/h4>\n

When applying for a foreign expert visa for an artist, it is important to include a few things alongside the application. \u00a0\u00a0These include relevant certificates indicating the artist\u2019s reputation, the Israeli employer\u2019s reputation, and any information detailing the project the foreign artist is coming to take part in. \u00a0It is important to note that when a company applies for an Israeli work visa for a foreign artist, the commissioner may ask for the opinion of the Israel Union of Performing Artists.<\/span><\/p>\n
